Tonga NOC celebrated Olympic Day at Pangai, Ha’apai

Members of the Executive Board and staff of the Tonga Sports Association and National Olympic Committee (TASANOC) joined more than 700 students from primary and secondary school as well as teachers and parents at “Lea-‘ae-Tohi” playground at Pangai, Ha’apai last Thursday (21st June) to celebrate the Olympic Day.more

Tonga Swimming team arrived to Glasgow 2014

The members of the Team Tonga Swimming for the Commonwealth Games arrived to Glasgow yesterday. The team is made up of James Panuve, Manager; Sarah Prescott, Official; Andy Scott, Coach; ‘Ifalemi Paea; Tongi Li Panuve; Maria Zarka; and Irene Prescott.

Team Tonga heads to Glasgow 2014

The members of the Team Tonga for the Commonwealth Games head to Glasgow commencing this week. According to Secretary General, Takitoa Taumoepeau the Chef de Mission for the team, Dr ‘Amanaki Fakakovikaetau has arrived safely to Glasgow last weekend.

The Secretary General of the Oceania Weightlifting Federation (OWF), Mr Paul Coffa visited Tonga from 21st to 23rd November. TONGA WIN 2019 PACIFIC GAME HOST

Tonga has been awarded the right to host the 2019 Pacific Games by the General Assembly in Wallis & Futuna a few minutes ago.

Tahiti and Tonga made their final presentations to the delegates of the General Assembly during the afternoon session today.

After the votes, the Assembly retired for a short break and came back for the announcement of the result.more
