Tieri Erasito's YOG experience

Friday, September 17, 2010

Tieri Erasito was selected to represent Fiji at the 1st Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. She competed in the 200m Butterfly and 200m Freestyle. Fiji Swimming was very proud to have Tieri represent them at this historic event.

In her warm ups Tieri Erasito set a new Fiji Under 17 Girls record in the 200m Butterfly at the Singapore Aquatics Complex. Her time of 2:35.59 broke her own record of 2:36.95 which she set at the Oceania Championships in Samoa in June.

On the following day she swam another personal best time, taking almost 2 seconds off her best.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong received a memento from Tieri Erasito during a visit to the Youth Olympic Village yesterday.  This finished off a perfect Youth Olympics for the Fiji swimming princess.
