Congratulations to Guam National Badminton Federation President, Sandra Low, who has been accepted into MEMOS XV Project with her proposal to ‘Analyse factors which influence a women’s decision to participate in Sports on Guam’.

Sandra who is also VP of Guam Tennis and President of Guam Volleyball Federation, has been supported by the Volleyball Federation as well as Guam National Olympic Committee to undertake this study. MEMOS (Executive Masters in Sport Organisations Management is endorsed by the IOC and awarded by the University of Louvain in France.

Sandra’s study will begin in Lausanne in September and will also see her travel to Trinidad and Slovakia as well as researching barriers to female participation rates in sport on Guam before completing her course in Lausanne in September 2012.

We look forward to Sandra’s research which she hopes will be able to offer a conceptual framework to assist sports administrators in developing and retaining their female athletes.
